Low participation in FEMA’s funeral reimbursement program

WASHINGTON DC, August 3, 2021 – COVID-19 has claimed more than 600,000 lives in the U.S., and fewer than 250,000 people have applied for funeral assistance. Ed Michael Reggie, CEO of Funeralocity.com, shared with WTOP News, Washington DC’s local news radio station, that many Americans are unaware the program even exists.
