OJUM's Obituary
Ojum Paul was born to the family of Iyono and Uloko at Oleji-Ija during the Burma war in 1946. The family later relocated to Iga Okpaya where she spent most of her life. She did not have the opportunity of receiving formal education but as an adult and through church activities she learned to read and write in Idoma and Igala languages.
Ojum was a determined hard working woman and never triffle with anything she set her heart to do. She faced series of challenges in her but non brought her spirit down.
She was humble, caring and emphatic to all people she came across.
She was exposed to the Chrisitan faith early in life and this faith she embraced grew in her determining her behaviors and relationships to all and sundry. She lived an exemplary Christian life. She rose to be a mother and grandmother. she was a co-ordinator and leader in the church.

Mother, as she is fondly called, is a great inspiration to me and my family. I will remember her commitments in prayers towards my life and her work in the church of God. I believe that she lived a fulfilled life of purpose, with great impact in the life of many. Rest in peace, Mother, till we meet at the feet of our Lord Jesus never to part again.
