Brent Shain has lived in Southeast Oklahoma and served area families as a Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer since 1983. Throughout his early career, he gained experience in all aspects of the funeral service industry as manager of various facilities, and he worked with the local funeral homes until 1988 when they were sold to a larger corporation. He and his wife, Mary, opened Mt. Olive Funeral Home in Hugo in 1992, in order to bring a family-owned and operated funeral home back to the area, offering a full line of burial and cremation services.In 2005, Mary began her quest in Mortuary School, and in March of 2007, she became a fully licensed funeral director and embalmer to assist area families. Brent and Mary's commitment to service has stayed consistent to this day. As a family owned and operated business, the Shain Family continues to join with other local families and serve in those communities. For years, Mt. Olive Funeral Home has worked to grant each family the service that their loved one deserves. Today, we continue in that mission, to outreach to those in need and grant them peace of mind. We offer a full range of burial and cremation services, and we work with each family to make each service personal and specific to the life of their loved one. What sets us apart is we have our own crematory so a loved one never leaves our care, and each family's needs are tailored to them.
